November Challenge - Bleep Test
The beep test involves continuous running between two lines 20m apart in time to recorded beeps. The time between recorded beeps decrease each minute (level).
The test is conducted:
- The student must place one foot on or beyond the 20m marker at the end of each shuttle.
- If the student arrives at the end of a shuttle before the beep, the student must wait for the bleep and then resume running.
- The student keeps running for as long as possible until he/she can longer keep up with the speed set by the C.D at which point they should voluntarily withdraw
- If the student fails to reach the end of the shuttle before the beep they should be allowed 2 or 3 further shuttles to attempt to regain the required pace before being withdrawn.
- Record the level and number of shuttles completed at that level by the student/nominated person – recorded.
- Please beware that all students will have different fitness and stamina levels, whether its age or grade.
- Training is required – Tuesday & Saturdays (if poss)
- It is not expected for younger students to gain same levels as older students – Do not push to hard, but encouragement is required.
- It is not a competition against each other but against yourselves. Test will be repeated in 6 months, to see if there’s an improvement in your fitness and stamina.
Points will be awarded for all students that complete the test, whether you reach level 1 or 21.
